How do I track Commissions in Salesforce?


Salesforce is a great system to calculate and manage your sales commissions and of course, you would want to turn on and test the data visibility rules before going too far.  If your commissions are calculated simply as a percentage of revenue or some basic math equation, that can be done very easily.  If your compensation plans are more complex where your commission percentage varies by product, you have commission accelerators once a certain revenue is exceeded, etc., you will want to integrate a commission application from the AppExchange to manage these rules.
